Depending on the version of iTunes® used to write MP3 files onto a disc, comment information may not be correctly displayed. ! Depending on the version of Windows Media Player used to encode WMA files, album names and other text information may not be correctly displayed. ! When playing back VBR (variable bit rate)-recorded WMA files, the average bit rate value is displayed. ! When playing back VBR (variable bit rate)-recorded MP3 files, VBR is displayed instead of bit rate value. ! The sampling frequency shown in the display may be abbreviated. ! When Ever Scroll is set to ON at the initial setting, text information scrolls continuously in the display. Refer to Switching the Ever Scroll on page 23. Playing songs on iPod Basic Operations You can use this unit to control an iPod by using a cable (e.g., CD-I200), which is sold separately. 1 Song number indicator 2 RPT indicator Shows when repeat range is selected to ONE. 3 RDM indicator Shows when random play is selected to SHUFFLE SONGS or SHUFFLE ALBUMS. 4 Play time indicator 1 Connect the iPod to this unit. Playback will automatically start. While the iPod is connected to this unit, PIONEER (or (check mark)) is displayed on the iPod. # Before connecting the dock connector of this unit to the iPod, disconnect the headphones from the iPod. # After the iPod has been connected to this unit, press SOURCE to select the iPod. # When removing the iPod from this unit, this unit is turned off. 2 To perform fast forward or reverse, press and hold c or d. 3 To skip back or forward to another song, press c or d. Notes ! Read the precautions with iPod on page 36. ! If an error message such as ERROR-11 is dis- played, refer to Understanding error messages on page 34. !
