Using the TV's Menu System CC Mode Choose which captioning mode is used for displaying captioning information. If you are unsure of the differences among the modes, you may prefer to leave the closed captioned mode set to CC1, which displays complete text of the program in the primary language in your area. Auto Tuning Displays a choice list that lets you set up the TV to automatically tune to the correct video input channel when you press a component button (VCR1, VCR2, DVD, SAT•CABLE, etc.) on the remote. Go to Chapter 3 for details about the auto tuning feature. Language Lets you select your preferred language for the menus, which you should have set in the Initial Setup. Press the right arrow button to add 15 minutes to the clock (up to four hours). Time ref. Ch (Time reference Channel) Choose your PBS station to have the TV set the time for you. Time Time is set if you select a reference channel (see above). If time is not obtained, then enter it manually. If it is 8:25, for example, you must first press the number 0 on the remote, then number 8, then 2 and then 5. Use the OK button to choose between AM and PM. Using the TV’s Menu System
CC Mode
Choose which captioning mode is used for displaying captioning
information. If you are unsure of the differences among the modes, you may
prefer to leave the closed captioned mode set to CC1, which displays complete
text of the program in the primary language in your area.
Auto Tuning
Displays a choice list that lets you set up the TV to automatically
tune to the correct video input channel when you press a component button
(VCR1, VCR2, DVD, SAT•CABLE, etc.) on the remote. Go to Chapter 3 for details

Lets you select your preferred language for the menus, which you

Time Menu
Sleep Timer
Lets you set the TV to turn off after a given
time. Press the right arrow button to add 15 minutes to the
clock (up to four hours).

above). If time is not obtained, then enter it manually. If it is

Lets you set the TV to turn itself on.
Note: If the TV turns on by the wake-up timer and no remote or front
panel buttons are pressed for 2 hours
, the TV will turn itself off.

Lets you select a specific
