USING YOUR WATER HEATER SettingtheWaterTemperature(cont.) Maximumwatertemperatureoccurswhilethe waterheaterburnerison.Todeterminethewater temperature: Turnonthehotwaterfaucetandplaceathermometer inthewaterstream. NOTICE:Watertemperatureatthefaucetmay varydependingontheseasonandthelengthofpipe fromthewaterheater. Theremotecontroltemperaturerangeisbetween 100°F(38°C)and120°F(49°C).Toadjustthe temperaturetoadesiredsetting,presstheUPor DOWNadjustmentbuttononthefaceoftheremote control.Thenewtemperaturesetpointwillshowon theLEDdisplay. In-UseIndicator (Litduringoperation) Priority Indicator Temperature Adjustment Buttons NOTICES: •Thetemperaturesetpointonthestandardremote controlcannotbeincreasedabove 112°F(44°C)whenahotwaterfaucetisintheopen position.Toachievetemperaturesabove120°F (49°C)or85°F(29°C),contactaqualifiedservice technician.Onlyfactory-authorizedremotecontrol(s) shouldbeused. •Thewaterheatermaynotoperatewithasmall waterflow.Increasethewaterflowandrecheck.If itstilldoesnotoperatewiththehotwaterfaucet completelyopen,increasethetemperaturesetting ontheremotecontrol. WaterHeaterFacts DANGER:Watertemperaturesabove125°F (52°C)willresultindeathand/orsevereburnsfrom scalding. •Thehottest-temperaturewaterwillbeatthefaucet closesttothewaterheater. •Alwaysremembertotestthewatertemperaturewith yourhandbeforeuse. •Alwayssuperviseyoungchildrenorotherswhoare incapacitated. •Thewaterheaterisequippedwithadevicethatwill shutoffthegassupplytotheburnerifthewater heaterexceedsnormaloperatingtemperatures. •Anywaterheaterthathasbeensubjectedtofire, flood,physicaldamage,orbeenunderwatershould beturnedoffatthemanualgasshut-offvalveand notuseduntilithasbeencheckedbyqualified servicepersonnel.
