OPERATION INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERY PACK See Figures 3 - 5, pages 9 - 10. WARNING: Do not open the battery compartment if the vacuum is wet. Make sure the vacuum is completely dry before installing, removing, or changing a battery pack. Move away from pool, spa, or wet areas before opening the battery compartment. WARNING: Do not allow any moisture or water inside the sealed battery compartment. Pool water is corrosive and will cause battery damage, smoke/fire, serious personal injury, and/or property damage if fluid enters the sealed battery compartment. Remove the product from the pool and move away from the pool area before opening the battery compartment cover to avoid accidentally dropping the battery pack into the pool. Thoroughly dry all surfaces of the unit before opening the sealed battery compartment to keep pool water out of the battery compartment and away from the battery pack and internal components. Make sure your hands are dry before opening the battery compartment or handling battery packs. Do not use the product if the sealed battery compartment is damaged or the cover is cracked, as this can allow pool water to enter the battery pack and internal components. WARNING: After opening the product, if fluid has entered the sealed battery compartment and has collected in the bottom of the battery compartment, immediately discontinue use and remove the battery pack. See page 3, Important Safety Instructions, in this manual and follow the instructions in the WARNING for battery packs exposed to corrosive and conductive liquids. Close the battery compartment and secure the primary and secondary latches on both sides. To remove the battery, remove the extension handle and open the battery compartment. Depress the latches on the battery to remove the battery pack. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the battery pack from the tool to recharge. Thoroughly dry all surfaces of the unit before placing the tool on the charger. With the battery installed, place the tool on the wall- mounted charger by aligning the raised ribs on the tool housing with the grooves on the charger. Slide the tool down until it is fully seated on the charger. NOTE: The LED indicator will flash quickly to evaluate, intermittently while charging, and will fade in and out when fully charged. ATTACHING AND REMOVING AN EXTENSION HANDLE (NOT INCLUDED) See Figure 6, page 10. Align the holes on the extension handle with the locking pins on the vacuum handle. Squeeze the locking pins together and slide the end of the extension handle over the vacuum handle until the pins lock into the holes on the extension handle. STARTING/STOPPING THE VACUUM See Figure 7, page 10. To start the vacuum: move the ON/OFF switch to the ON position. To stop the vacuum: move the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position. USING THE VACUUM See Figure 8, page 10. WARNING: The vacuum is designed for underwater use only. Do not use this vacuum to clean anything other than a pool or spa. It is not intended for use as a wet/dry vacuum. NOTE: Do not use if sealed battery compartment is damaged or cover is cracked. WARNING: Set the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position. Press down on the tab and unlock the primary and secondary latches on each side of the battery compartment and open the compartment. NOTE: The secondary latch flips outward, away from the vacuum housing. The vacuum is NOT a life saving device and is NOT a toy. Do not use near persons or pets and keep all swimmers clear of the area where the vacuum is being used, as hair and clothing can be drawn into the vacuum. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death by drowning or serious personal injury. Insert the battery pack into the product as shown. Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack snap into place and the battery pack is secured in the product before beginning operation. 6 - English
