OPERATION Work in one direction. Start the sweeper attachment and walk slowly behind the sweeper, cleaning as you go. Do not pull the unit towards you during operation. Release the throttle or trigger to stop the rotation of the brushes. Return to the starting point to begin sweeping another strip. WARNING: Do not use the sweeper on raised obstacles. Striking any raised obstacle while using the sweeper could damage the unit. If contact does occur and results in damage or vibration when operating the sweeper, stop and discontinue use. Continuing to operate a damaged unit could result in serious personal injury. WARNING: Never touch the rotating brushes or place any body part in front of the sweeper when the unit is operating or when the unit is plugged in or has a battery installed. Always ensure all moving parts have stopped and the sweeper has been unplugged, battery pack has been removed, or spark plug wire has been disconnected before clearing any obstructions. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious personal injury. WARNING: Never operate the sweeper close to your feet. Keep the sweeper a minimum of twelve inches from your feet at all times. Ensure the rotating brush has come to a complete stop before setting the sweeper down. MAINTENANCE WARNING: Before inspecting, cleaning, or servicing the machine, shut off engine or motor, wait for all moving parts to stop, and disconnect spark plug wire and move it away from spark plug, disconnect from power supply, or remove the battery pack. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious personal injury or property damage. WARNING: Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1 along with hearing and breathing protection. Failure to do so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes and other possible serious injuries. WARNING: When servicing, use replacement parts that meet or exceed original product specifications. Use of any other parts could create a hazard or cause product damage. NOTICE: Periodically inspect the entire product for damaged, missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps, etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps and do not operate this product until all missing or damaged parts are replaced. Please contact customer service or a qualified service center for assistance. GENERAL MAINTENANCE Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc. WARNING: Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleumbased products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts.
