Using Smart Station NOTE When using the LAN network of the Smart Station monitor or PC, ensure you connect the LAN cable to only one of the two networks. If you connect the LAN cable to both networks, a system crash may occur. 1. Connect the LAN cable to the Smart Station monitor. 2. Set the network device of the Smart Station monitor to Enable using the Network Settings menu. NOTE ª To enable the network device of the Smart Station monitor, go to Control Panel Network and ª ª ª Internet Network and Sharing Center Change adapter settings. Select the Smart Station monitor network device (displayed as LAN9512/LAN9514 USB 2.0 to Ethernet 10/100 ª ª Adapter). Right-click on your mouse. Select Enable. 3. Check that Obtain an IP address automatically is selected for the network device of the Smart Station monitor in the network properties. NOTE To check that the network device of the Smart Station monitor is set to obtain an IP address ª ª automatically, go to Control Panel Network and Internet Network and Sharing Center ª ª Change adapter settings. Select the Smart Station monitor network device (displayed as ª ª LAN9512/LAN9514 USB 2.0 to Ethernet 10/100 Adapter). Right-click on your mouse. ª ª Select Properties. Select Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4). Select Properties. Static IP To configure the IP address (private or official) on your PC, someone (usually a server) must allocate an IP address to the PC. An external IP address is allocated to you by your Internet service provider. An internal IP address is allocated to you by your Internet router. You can select whether to configure the IP address on the PC automatically or manually. The static IP address mode is used to manually enter an IP address. The static IP address mode is suitable if the IP address for the PC should not be changed (such as for a file sharing server) and generally is not used, except under such special circumstances. Using Smart Station
NOTE
When using the LAN network of the Smart Station monitor or PC, ensure you connect the LAN cable to only

Connect the LAN cable to the Smart Station monitor.

Set the network device of the Smart Station monitor to
