Correct installation Front of unit Hold down bracket holes 1. Locate electrical outlet and gas shut-off valve beneath cabinet. 2. Apply the foam tape around the edge of the cutout opening. Do not overlap the foam strips. • The foam strip helps avoid damage to the underside of the cooktop from debris and helps the cooktop sit flat on uneven counters. 3. Protect surface of cooktop • Place a towel or tablecloth onto the countertop. 4. With bottom side first, gently put the cooktop down. Then, slightly lift up the rear to remove the protective rubber for the Wi-Fi module. • Make sure the front of the countertop is parallel to the cooktop • Make final check that all required clearances are met. 5. The Cover must be installed in place of Smart connect module if Smart connect module has been removed. Please read following instructions on how to detach Smart connect module. Installation instructions
1.

the cutout opening. Do not overlap the
foam strips.
The foam strip helps avoid damage
to the underside of the cooktop from
debris and helps the cooktop sit flat on
uneven counters.

countertop.

Secure the cooktop to the countertop

NOTE
Smart Connect module can/must be detached before installation of the cooktop in
folowing cases:
The consumer doesn’t need to Smart connect function.
Installation is not possible because the Smart Connect module protrudes against
the rear wall of the countertop.
The downdraft hood is installed and protrudes against the Smart Connect
module.
The Cover must be installed in place of Smart connect module if Smart connect
module has been removed. Please read following instructions on how to detach
Smart connect module.
