• Automatic Tuning Press and hold the TUNING *4 or ►►buttons until the display starts to scan, and then release the button. The Tuner will stop on the first strong station it finds. Repeat this procedure until the desired frequency appears in the display. • Manual Tuning : Repeatedly press the TUNING 44 or 0+ buttons to manually move the display up or down until you reach the frequency of the desired station. NOTES : A. Use manual tuning to select weaker stations that might be bypassed during automatic tuning. B. If the automatic tuning does not stop on the exact frequency of the station, for example it stops on 100.85 MHz instead of 100.8 MHz, use the manual tuning method to " fine tune " to the exact frequency of the desired station. PRESET RADIO STATIONS The unit allows you to store up to 10 AM and 10 FM stations in the tuner preset memories for easy recall at any time. 1. Press the RADIO /BAND button to activate the radio. 2. If necessary press the RADIO / BAND button again to select AM or FM band. 3. Tune to desired radio station using Al or buttons. 4. Press the memory MEM / PGM button once, preset channel number 01 will appear on display. 5. Use CH+ or CH- buttons to select desired preset channel number. 6. Press MEM / PGM button again to confirm storage of setting. 9k / 10kHz SETTING In case the unit is moved to different country with slightly different AM (MW) broadcast system, the unit allows you to select either 9kHz or 10kHz per tuning step. 1. Press MODE button 7 times. 2. Press 41 or 010- to select 9kHz or 10kHz per step of AM(MW) band. 3. Press MEM / PGM button to store setting. 11
