SETUP INSTALLING THE CARD Be sure to format a newly purchased card or one that was used in another device before using it in your camera (pages 124 and 134). If an unformatted card is used, the card itself may become unusable. Battery cover lock 4 Close 2 Open Battery cover 1 Push the battery cover lock to the right to release it. 3 Insert the card with the label side facing up. h To remove the card, press it in, and then release. The card will protrude slightly, and you can then pull it out. 5 Push the battery cover lock to the left to lock it. The colored label is visible when the battery cover lock is not completely closed. Be sure to close the lock completely so that the colored label is not visible. 1 Push the card in Colored label 2 Pull it out English 22

Push the battery cover lock to
the right to release it.

Insert the card with the label
side facing up.

Push the battery cover lock to
the left to lock it.
The colored label is visible when
the battery cover lock is not
completely closed. Be sure to
close the lock completely so that
the colored label is not visible.
