Condition/Problem Console shuts off (enters sleep mode) while in use Console displays "err 1" message Console displays "Err 3" or "Err 16" after Calibration Console displays other number "Err" message after Calibration Unit rocks/does not sit level Pedals loose/unit difficult to pedal Clicking sound when pedaling Seat post movement Handlebar arms click/tick during movement Things to Check Check data cable integrity Check data cable connections/orientation If bike has batteries, check Battery Indicator on console or check batteries. Check Speed Sensor Magnet position (requires fan cover removal) Check Speed Sensor Assembly Calibration procedure Check Console keypad for stuck key Calibration procedure Calibration procedure Check leveler adjustment Solution All wires in the cable should be intact. If any are cut or crimped, replace cable. Be sure cable is connected securely and oriented properly. Small latch on connector should line up and snap into place. Make sure batteries are installed correctly. If batteries are correctly installed, replace with a set of new batteries. Speed Sensor Magnets should be in place on Fan assembly. Contact Customer Care for further assistance. Console will display "Err 1" if STOP/RESET button is pushed during the Calibration procedure. Repeat Calibration procedure. Contact Customer Care for further assistance. If bike has AC adapter, disconnect and reconnect power adapter. If bike uses batteries, remove and reinsert batteries. Repeat Calibration procedure. Refer to the Calibration procedure video. If these steps do not resolve the problem, contact Customer Care for further assistance. Repeat Calibration procedure. Refer to the Calibration procedure video. If these steps do not resolve the problem, contact Customer Care for further assistance. Leveling feet may be turned in or out to level bike. Check surface under unit Check pedal to crank connection Check crank arm to axle connection Crank link to pulley connection Check pedal to crank connection Check fan alignment (requires fan cover removal) Check locking pin Check locking knob Check hardware Adjustment may not be able to compensate for extremely uneven surfaces. Move bike to level area. Pedal should be tightened securely to crank arm. Be sure connection is not cross-threaded. Crank arm should be tightened securely to axle. (Screw torque = 60 N.m.) If the left crank arm still feels loose with correct torque applied and the crank link shaft is moving with the crank arm, replace the crank link assembly. Remove pedals. Make sure there is no debris on threads, and reinstall the pedals. Refer to the "Adjust the Belt Tension" procedure in the Service Manual. Be sure adjustment pin is locked into one of the seat post adjustment holes. Be sure knob is securely tightened. Screws at the base of handlebar arms should be tightened securely. (Screw torque = 40 N.m.) 32
