Multi-channel operation Operating permit The EK 2012 TV is also suited for use in multi-channel systems, provided that the following conditions are satisfied. 1. A minimum distance of 3 m is to be maintained between the transmitters and the receivers. 2. The frequency combinations must not contain intermodulation products of the third and fifth order. 3. Where a talk-back system is set up (for television reporters, for instance) the transmitter and receiver will unavoidably have to be located in very close proximity. This contradicts the condition prescribed at "1" above. Therefore, it will be necessary to work on frequencies which are at least 15 MHz apart. The use of wireless microphone systems is generally subject to local licencing or permit arrangements. For further details contact your local Sennheiser distributor. External power supply for the receiver Modifying the EK 2012 slightly makes it possible to supply power from an external source either through the antenna connector or the battery compartment. Detailed information can be obtained from your local Sennheiser distributor. 17
