Unplug the unit, wait 10 seconds, then plug the unit back in and restart. If the unit still does not operate, call a Sharp Authorized Servicer. The discharged air has odor. The Plasmacluster Ion Generator releases a small trace of ozone which may produce odor. This is well below acceptable limits.
