Useful adjustment settings TV Parental Guidelines (TV Guidelines) 1 Press MENU and the MENU screen displays. 2 Press / to select (LOCKS). 3 Press / . The password entering menu displays. 4 Input the 4-digit password by using 0-9. The V-CHIP SET menu displays. 5 Press / to select "TV RATING". Then press / to select the desired rating. LOCKS V-CHIP SET V-CHIP OFF TV RATING OFF OFF/TV-Y/TV-Y7/TV-G TV-PG/TV-14/TV-MA MOVIE RATING OFF NEW PASSWORD :SELECT :ADJUST • When you select TV-Y7, TV-PG, TV-14 or TV-MA, "DISPLAY TO SET CONTENTS" will appear on the screen. Press DISPLAY to explain the rating. Press / to select the desired rating you want. Press / to select the setting "ON" or "OFF". Then press RETURN. • See page 33 for setting details. 6 Press / to select "V-CHIP". 7 Press / to select "ON". • If "V-CHIP" is not set to "ON" the V-CHIP settings will not work. 8 Press EXIT to return to the normal screen. How to temporarily release the V-CHIP block The V-CHIP block is working and censors a broadcast, "THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN BLOCKED!" displays. 1 Press MUTE while the V-CHIP is working and then the password entering menu displays. 2 Enter your 4-digit password with 0-9. At this time V-CHIP block temporarily releases. Reactivating the temporarily released V-CHIP block You can reactivate the temporarily released V-CHIP block as shown below. Method 1: Change to the other channel. Method 2: Switch off the TV power. NOTE • Performing any of the two above will activate the V-CHIP block. 34
