SELECTA PROGRAM SELECTA PROGRAM has 8 special cooking modes. 1. EXPRESS DEFROST 2. NORMAL CONVECTION 3. HIGH SPEED GRILL 4. HIGH SPEED GRILL WITH MICRO 5. SPEED GRILL 6. SPEED GRILL WITH MICRO 7. SPEED BAKE 8. SPEED ROAST NOTE except for EXPRESS DEFROST: Your oven can be programmed for up to 99 minutes 99 seconds (99.99). Always enter the seconds after the minutes, even if they are both zeros. See each cooking mode instruction for the maximum cooking time. 1. EXPRESS DEFROST Express Defrost automatically defrosts ground meat, steaks, chops, fish and poultry by entering the weight. • Suppose you want to defrost a 2.0 pound steak. PROCEDURE Touch SELECTA 1 PROGRAM pad twice. x 2 2 Touch SET pad. 3 Enter weight by touching the number pads 2 and 0 . (Ex. 2.0 lbs steak) 4 Touch START pad. The oven will stop so that the food can be checked. 5 After the 1st stage, open the door. Turn steak over and shield any warm portions. Close the door. Touch START pad. 6 After the 2nd stage, open the door. Shield any warm portions. Close the door. Touch START pad. 7 After defrost cycle ends, cover and let stand as indicated in chart below. NOTE: 1. If you attempt to enter more or less than the allowed amount, ERROR will appear in the display. 2. Express Defrost can be programmed with AUTOMATIC COOKING TIME ADJUSTMENT. See page 25. 3. To defrost other foods or foods above or below the weights allowed on Express Defrost Chart on page 17, use time and 30% power. See Manual Defrost on page 21. 4. Be sure oven is room temperature before defrosting. If not, open oven door to speed cooling and wait until oven interior is cool. 16
