3. Receiving Faxes 3. Receiving Faxes Using FAX Mode To select FAX mode, press RESOLUTION/ (with no document RECEPTION MODE in the feeder) until the arrow in the display points to FAX. When the reception mode is set to FAX, the fax machine will automatically answer all calls on four rings and receive incoming faxes. ♦ If you pick up the handset before the machine answers, you can talk to the other party and/or receive a fax as explained in Using TEL Mode on page 58. 4 rings Fax reception Changing the number of rings If desired, you can change the number of rings on which the fax machine answers incoming calls in FAX mode.
