NARROW AND ROLLED HEM, PICOT STITCH The narrow and rolled edge stitches are ideal for use on light weight fabrics such as georgette, crepe, crepe de chine, silk etc. The picot stitch can be used when sewing on fine scarf-like fabrics. These hems are unsuitable for use on hard or heavy fabrics. 1. Raise the presser foot. 2. Open the front cover and working table. 3. Pull the stitch finger from the needle plate using a screwdriver. Keep it in the front cover as illustrated or in the accessory bag. 4. Set the machine according to the Setting Chart on page 32. NOTE: 1. Please use the recommended threads below for ideal seams. 2. When finished, replace the stitch finger in the needle plate. Please make sure it is inserted completely as illustrated in Fig. 1. 1. Raise the presser foot.
