Types of trouble and how to correct trouble Symptom Cause and/or Corrective Actions While charging the battery pack inserted in your camcorder, the battery CHG lamp does not light up. • Charging is completed. • The battery pack is not properly inserted. c Insert it properly (p. 17). You cannot charge the battery pack inserted in your camcorder. • The POWER switch is not set to (CHG) OFF. c Set it to (CHG) OFF. While charging the battery pack inserted in your camcorder, the battery CHG lamp flashes. • The battery pack is not properly inserted. c Insert it properly (p. 17). • Something is wrong with the battery pack. c Please contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service facility. When you set the POWER switch to VCR or (CHG) OFF, if you move your camcorder, you may hear a clattering sound from inside your camcorder. • This is because some functions use a linear mechanism. This is not a malfunction. The buttons do not appear on the touch panel. • DISPLAY/TOUCH PANEL is pressed. c Press the LCD screen lightly. c Press DISPLAY/TOUCH PANEL on your camcorder or DISPLAY on the Remote Commander (p. 43).
