EBS-N100 Setup Guide Purpose: This document is a set up instruction guide for the EBS-N100 unit and using it with Display Commander. Known issues of this pre-release version of Display Commander are included at the end of the document. Components: 1 - EBS-N100 1 - AC Adapter for EBS-N100 1 - RS232C cable Loading Display Commander Software The Display Commander software is included in an e-mail attachment. This software extends the control set of the EBS-N100 from individual unit control to group controls. Connections Connecting EBS-N100 to Sony Professional Monitor 1) RS232C Cable a. Attach the 9-pin RS232C Cable to the port labeled "COM1" on the EBS-N100 b. Attach the other end to the REMOTE input on the Sony Monitor Connecting the EBS-N100 to a Network Router 1) CAT5 Cable a. Plug the RJ45 connector into the back of the EBS-N100 b. Plug the other end of the CAT5 cable into a LAN port on the router Power Up 1) Plug in the AC Adapter for the EBS-N100 Configuration PLASMA DISPLAY RGB RS232 AUDIO IN EBS-N100 POWER ETHERNET 5VDC COM1 POWER ADAPTOR ETHERNET SWITCH/ROUTER PORT 1 PORT 2 PORT 3 PORT 4 WAN INTERNET The EBS-N100 can be controlled and configured in two ways. The first is using the Display Commander application to identify and control the EBS-N100 unit. The second is through an embedded HTML Interface page for configuration and control. Display Commander Once power has been applied to the unit, double click on the Display Commander icon in the folder where the application was extracted to from the Zip file.
