It is recommended that you operate your camcorder about once a month to keep it in optimum state for a long time. On charging the pre-installed rechargeable battery Your camcorder has a pre-installed rechargeable battery to retain the date, time, and other settings even when your camcorder turned off. The pre-installed rechargeable battery is always charged while your camcorder is connected to the wall outlet (wall socket) via the AC Adaptor or while the battery pack is attached. The rechargeable battery will be fully discharged in about 3 months if you do not use your camcorder at all. Use your camcorder after charging the pre-installed rechargeable battery. However, even if the pre-installed rechargeable battery is not charged, the camcorder operation will not be affected as long as you are not recording the date. x Procedures Connect your camcorder to a wall outlet (wall socket) using the supplied AC Adaptor, and leave it with the POWER switch set to OFF for more than 24 hours. 82 System Video compression format: AVCHD (HD)/ MPEG2 (SD)/JPEG (Still images) Audio compression format: Dolby Digital 2ch Dolby Digital Stereo Creator Video signal: NTSC color, EIA standards 1080/60i specification Recording format: HD: AVCHD 1080/60i SD: MPEG2-PS Still image: Exif Ver.2.2*1 Image device: 3.6 mm (1/5 type) CMOS sensor Recording pixels (still image, 4:3): Max. 4.0 mega (2 304 × 1 728) pixels*2 Gross: Approx. 2 360 000 pixels Effective (movie, 16:9): Approx. 1 430 000 pixels Effective (still image, 16:9): Approx. 1 490 000 pixels Effective (still image, 4:3): Approx. 1 990 000 pixels Lens: Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 10 × (Optical), 20 ×, 120 × (Digital) Filter diameter: 30 mm (1 3/16 in.)
