The stored color temperature appears for about 3 seconds. z Tip • If [WB SET] is assigned to an ASSIGN button, the adjusted value is stored by pressing the ASSIGN button when the shooting screen is displayed, instead of performing step 4. b Note • When a white balance adjustment value has not been obtained successfully, A or B starts flashing slowly. Adjust the subject appropriately and set the shutter speed to auto or around 1/60 (when [60i] is selected)/1/50 (when [50i] is selected), then try adjusting the white balance again. To restore automatic adjustment Press the WHITE BALANCE button A. b Note • When you set the AUTO/MANUAL switch B to AUTO, iris, ISO sensitivity/gain, shutter speed, and white balance are adjusted automatically. You cannot adjust manually. Direct Menu allows you to change settings directly while recording using the v/V/b/ B/SET buttons. The following items can be configured. • Focus value (p. 30) • AE shift level value (p. 66) • Iris value (p. 36) • ISO sensitivity/gain value (p. 37) • Shutter speed value (p. 37) • White balance value (p. 40) v/V/b/B/SET buttons You can assign this function to an ASSIGN button. For details about function assignment operation to an ASSIGN button, see "Assigning functions to the ASSIGN buttons" (p. 50). 1 Press the ASSIGN button to which Direct Menu is assigned. After entering Direct Menu mode, a cursor (underline) is displayed for items along the bottom of the LCD screen. • Orange cursor indicates the selected item. • White cursor indicates selectable items.
