Connecting Optional Equipment For greater enjoyment of your stereo system, you can connect other components to the stereo. You can connect: •an MD recorder •a VCR •a turntable •surround speakers •a super woofer Connecting an MD Recorder You can record from the sound sources of the stereo into the MD recorder in analog sound. You can also listen to the sound from the MD recorder by pressing FUNCTION repeatedly to select 100 CD. rear panel an MD recorder Connect With LINE IN jack of the 100 CD/VIDEO OUT MD recorder jacks LINE OUT jack of 100 CD/VIDEO IN the MD recorder jacks Connecting a VCR You can connect a VCR and hear the sound through the connected speakers. rear panel to LINE OUT of a VCR Connect LINE OUT jacks of the VCR With 100 CD/VIDEO IN jacks Press FUNCTION repeatedly to select VIDEO. Note If you cannot select "VIDEO" even when you have pressed FUNCTION, press POWER while pressing FUNCTION when the power is turned off. "100 CD" will be switched to "VIDEO". To return to "100 CD", do the same procedures. Connecting a Turntable You can connect a turntable to 100CD/ VIDEO IN jacks. Before you connect, check which type of turntable you have. rear panel a turntable Is the turntable Connect with supplied with a phono equalizer? Yes 100 CD/VIDEO IN EN jacks No 100 CD/VIDEO IN jacks using a MM cartridge equalizer and connecting cable (not supplied) Press FUNCTION to select VIDEO. Note If you cannot select "VIDEO" even when you have pressed FUNCTION, press POWER while pressing FUNCTION when the power is turned off. "100 CD" will be switched to "VIDEO".
