To cancel PBC Playback of VIDEO CDs with PBC functions (Ver. 2.0) There are two ways to cancel the PBC functions. • Before you start playing, select the track you want using the jog dial, =/+, then press ENTER/NEXT (or CD ( on the remote). • Before you start playing, select the track number using the number buttons on the remote. The PBC OFF indicator lights up and playback begins from the selected track. Still images, such as the menu screens, will not be shown. To select a menu number using the remote Press the numeric buttons in the order you want in step 2. To enter track numbers 10 or over, first press >10, then press the numerical buttons. To enter 0, use the 10/0 button. Tips • When appears on the TV screen, you have pressed an invalid button. Press a button indicated by the instructions on the menu screen. • When you press NEXT during menu playback or while playing moving pictures, the next scene on the disc appears. Also refer to the instructions supplied with the disc. Note During menu playback, you cannot go to the next disc, even if you've selected "ALL DISCS." Press D. SKIP on the remote to go to the next disc. Checking the remaining time You can check the remaining time of the current track or that of the CD. (Power) DISPLAY / Press DISPLAY during playback. Each time you press the button during normal playback, the display changes as follows: n Playing time on the current track µ Remaining time on the current track µ Remaining time on current CD µ Clock display (for eight seconds) µ Effect (P FILE) name or "EFFECT ON (OFF)" µ Name of spectrum analyzer display pattern continued 27
