When you press this button after pressing the SHIFT button, the selection buttons function as level selection buttons. For details about display switching, see "Display transition" (page 14). c PG UP/GP UP (Page Up/Page Group Up) button When button assignment data is displayed in the status display window, the displayed page is switched to the next page using this button. When you press this button after pressing the SHIFT button, the page group is switched to the next group. For details about switching pages and groups, see "Pages and Page Groups" (page 22). d ASSGN (Assign) button Changing the assignment of selection buttons Press and hold the ASSIGN button and press a selection button to assign the source or destination name displayed in [Preset] of the status display window to the pressed button. For details about button function settings, see "Assigning Functions to Selection Buttons (Assign)" (page 19). e Status display window The display shows the status of a source, destination, level, and operation mode. For details about the content displayed in the status display window, see "Status Display Window (MKS-R1630)" (page 10). f Selection buttons These buttons can be used as source selection buttons, destination selection buttons, or level selection buttons. You can configure the type of selection of the buttons using the web menu or the assignment function. For details about button function settings, see "Assigning Functions to Selection Buttons (Assign)" (page 19). Source selection function (lit green) When the SRC DEST/LEVEL button is lit green, the buttons function as source selection buttons. When you press a button, a switch request is issued to switch the source corresponding to the pressed button for the currently selected destination (salvo switching if configured as a salvo). Notes • When the PROT lamp is lit, source switching is disabled. • When [Protect Mode] in the web menu is set to [Occupy], switching is supported without canceling protection when local protection is applied (switching is not possible when remote protection is applied). Set the protection mode to [Protect] for normal operation. Destination selection function (lit amber) When the SRC DEST/LEVEL button is lit amber, the buttons function as destination selection buttons. When you press a button, the destination corresponding to the pressed button is selected. The pressed button lights up bright amber. Level selection function Press the SHIFT button, then the SRC DEST/LEVEL button. The selection buttons function as level selection buttons. Pressing this button selects the level. g SHIFT button When multiple functions are assigned to a button, pressing this button switches the function. h PROT (Protect) button When you press this button, it lights up green, and the currently selected destination (output) is protected. The Self (local protection icon) is displayed in the status display window. When a destination is protected, switching of the source from all panels for the destination is disabled. To release protection, press the PROT button, turning the lamp off. When you press the button together with the ENTRY button for longer than 3 seconds, the software is reset. Note If Other (protection on another station) is displayed, you cannot release protection from this unit. 7

On the MKS-R1630, this button (top left button) lights up blue
when the beacon function is executed on the system

When you press this button after pressing the SHIFT button,

When button assignment data is displayed in the status
display window, the displayed page is switched to the next
page using this button.
When you press this button after pressing the SHIFT button,
the page group is switched to the next group.

Changing the assignment of selection buttons
Press and hold the ASSIGN button and press a selection
button to assign the source or destination name displayed in
[Preset] of the status display window to the pressed button.

The display shows the status of a source, destination, level,

The selection buttons function as level selection buttons.
Pressing this button selects the level.

SHIFT button
When multiple functions are assigned to a button, pressing
this button switches the function.

PROT (Protect) button
When you press this button, it lights up green, and the
currently selected destination (output) is protected. The
(local protection icon) is displayed in the status display
window. When a destination is protected, switching of the
source from all panels for the destination is disabled.
To release protection, press the PROT button, turning the
lamp off.
When you press the button together with the ENTRY button
for longer than 3 seconds, the software is reset.
If
(protection on another station) is displayed, you
cannot release protection from this unit.
