Pressing SHUTTER SPEED  switches the setting mode between automatic and manual.  Rotate the MANUAL dial  to adjust the Shutter Speed. Adjusting Exposure The following explanation is an example for when [Exposure] is assigned to the MANUAL  (default).  Press MANUAL  to enter the manual exposure adjustment mode. Pressing MANUAL switches the setting mode between automatic and manual. Search image  Tips  Changing the Shutter Speed affects how a moving subject appears. Set a fast Shutter Speed to shoot a fast moving subject clearly without blur. Conversely, set a slow Shutter Speed to emphasize the impression of movement.  You can set the Shutter Speed between 1/4 second and 1/10000 second in 60p movie mode (NEX-VG30/VG30H), 1/3 second and 1/10000 second in 50p movie mode (NEX-VG30E/ VG30EH), or 30 seconds and 1/4000 second in photo mode.  It is difficult to focus automatically at a lower Shutter Speed. Manual focusing with your camcorder attached to a tripod is recommended.  When recording under fluorescent lamps, sodium lamps, mercury lamps, or LED lighting, the picture may have horizontal bands of noise. You may be able to improve the situation by adjusting the Shutter Speed. Adjusting the Shutter Speed
Steps to configure Shutter Speed priority
exposure are described here.
Press PROGRAM AE
to set the
IRIS, Gain (ISO), Shutter Speed
and Exposure to [Auto].

Tips
Changing the Shutter Speed affects how a
moving subject appears. Set a fast Shutter Speed
