Locking your Sony handheld by passwords You can lock your Sony handheld with a password to protect information. You must then enter the password when you rotate on your device to gain access to the information on it. Notes • When your Sony handheld had been locked, you must enter the correct password to restart. • If you forgot the password, you must perform a hard reset to resume using your Sony handheld. Performing a hard reset deletes all records in your Sony handheld. (You can restore all data that was backed up in the computer using HotSync.) 1 Back up the data in your Sony handheld using the HotSync. See "Exchanging and Updating Data using Hot Sync Operations" for more information. 2 Assign a password, as described in "Assigning a password" (124 page). 3 Tap icon and select System from the dropdown list in the upper right corner.
