Recording TV Programs Before you begin, check the following points: 'Check the connections Make sure that the connections have been made correctly. *Check the input mode indicator Press INPUT SELECT to light TUNER in the display window. The VCR turns on automatically (Auto power on). 2 Select the recording tape speed, SP or EP, with REC MODE (SP/EP). 3 Arm on thaw. 4 If your1VIs connected toboth VHF/UHF OUTand LINE OUT on the VCR. Select the input for the VCR. If your TV is connected only to the VHF/UHF OUT on the VCR. Select the channel for the VCR (3 CH or 4 CH). 5 Press ANT TV/VTR so that the VTR indicator lights. Skip this step if your VCR is not connected via the VHF/UHF antenna terminal. 6 Select the channel to be recorded with CHANNEL +/- or channel number buttons and ENTER. 7 Press the two• REC buttons ontheCommander at the same time,or the• RECbuttonon theunit. To stop recording Press 'ESTOP. To stop the tape for a moment PressII PAUSE. To resume recording. pressII PAUSE. When the recording pause mode lasts for more than approximately 5 minutes. the unit enters the stop mode. When the tape reaches its end The tape rewinds to the beginning.
