The INDEX and SCAN indicator flashes alternately. 3 Turn the DUAL MODE SHUTTLE ring clockwise to locate the previous program or counter-clockwise to locate the program ahead. The INDEX SCAN indicator flashes continuously while scanning. The tape rewinds or rapidly advanced to the next marked index signal. The tape plays back for approximately 10 seconds from the index signal, and then rewinds or advances to the next index signal. Every time an index signal is detected and playback begins, the displayed index number increases. 4 When the desired program is detected, press C% PLAY. Playback starts from that point.
