Front panel (DA2400ES) SECTION 2 GENERAL STR-DA2400ES/DG920 This section is extracted from instruction manual. To remove the cover Press PUSH. When you remove the cover, keep it out of reach from children. Status of the POWER button Y (Off) The receiver is turned off (initial setting). The ON/STANDBY lamp lights off. Press POWER to turn the receiver on. You cannot turn the receiver on using the remote. Y (On/Standby) Press / on the remote to turn the receiver on or set it to the standby mode. When you press POWER on the receiver, the receiver will be turned off. Name Function " POWER Press to turn the receiver on or off. ON/STANDBY lamp Lights up in green when the receiver is turned on. Lights up in red when the receiver is set to standby mode. # TONE MODE TONE +/- Adjusts the tonal quality (bass/treble level) of the front, center and surround speakers. Press TONE MODE repeatedly to select bass or treble level, then turn TONE +/- to adjust the level. $ TUNING MODE Press to select the tuning mode. % TUNING +/- Turn to scan a station. & Remote sensor Receives signals from remote commander. ' MULTI CHANNEL DECODING lamp Lights up when multi channel audio signals are decoded. Name Function ( Display window The current status of the selected component or a list of selectable items appears here. ) Digital Cinema Lights up when a sound Sound lamp field with %$4is selected. * DISPLAY Press repeatedly to select information displayed on the display. + INPUT MODE , MASTER VOLUME - INPUT SELECTOR Press to select the input mode when the same components are connected to both digital and analog jacks. Turn to adjust the volume level of all speakers at the same time. Turn to select the input source to play back. Name Function . 2CH/A.DIRECT Press to select sound A.F.D. field. MOVIE MUSIC / DIMMER Press repeatedly to adjust brightness of the display. 0 MEMORY/ ENTER Press to store a station or enter the selection when selecting the settings. 1 AUTO CAL MIC Connects to the jack supplied optimizer microphone for the Digital Cinema Auto Calibration function. 2 VIDEO 2 IN/ Connect to a portable PORTABLE AV audio/video component IN jacks such as a camcorder or video game. 3 SPEAKERS Press to select the (OFF/A/B/A+B) speaker system. 4 PHONES jack Connects to headphones. 7
