x CENTER MID XXX Hz (Center speaker midrange frequency) Initial setting: 1 kHz You can adjust from 100 Hz to 10 kHz in 5 steps (100 Hz, 300 Hz, 1 kHz, 3 kHz, 10 kHz). x CENTER TREBLE XXX dB (Center speaker treble level) x SURR/SB BASS XXX dB (Surround/surround back speaker bass level) x SURR/SB TRE. XXX dB (Surround/surround back speaker treble level) Initial setting: 0 dB You can adjust from -10 dB to +10 dB in 1 dB steps. x PRESET X CLEAR (Equalizer bank clear) You can reset the adjusted equalizer settings to the initial setting. For details, see "Clearing stored equalizer settings". Tip You can adjust the front speaker bass and treble level with BASS control and TREBLE control. To apply the stored equalizer 1 Rotate MAIN MENU to select "EQUALIZER" 2 Rotate MENU to select "EQ PRESET". 3 Rotate -/+ to select "EQ PRESET [1] - [5]". Clearing stored equalizer settings 1 Rotate MAIN MENU to select "EQUALIZER". 2 Rotate MENU to select "EQ PRESET". 3 Rotate +/- to select the equalizer (EQ PRESET [1] - [5]) you want to clear. 4 Rotate MENU to select "PRESET X CLEAR". "X" is the number of the selected equalizer bank. 5 Rotate -/+ to select "YES", then press MEMORY/ENTER. "Are you sure?" appears in the display. 6 Rotate -/+ to select "YES", then press MEMORY/ENTER. "PRESET X CLEARED!" appears in the display and the adjusted contents of the selected equalizer bank are cleared. Advanced settings Using the CUSTOMIZE menu to adjust the receiver You can adjust various receiver settings using the CUSTOMIZE menu. 1 Rotate MAIN MENU to select "CUSTOMIZE". 2 Rotate MENU to select the parameter. For details, see "CUSTOMIZE menu parameters" below. 3 Rotate -/+ to adjust the selected parameter. 4 Repeat steps 2 and 3 to adjust the other items. CUSTOMIZE menu parameters The initial setting is underlined. x MENU EXPAND (Menu expanding) • ON The advanced parameters for the SPEAKER SET UP, SURR SET UP and LEVEL menus are displayed and can be adjusted. For details on each setup item, see pages 19, 39, 40 and the following pages. • OFF The advanced parameters are not displayed. x DTS 96/24 DEC. (DTS 96/24 decoding mode) • AUTO When a DTS 96/24 signal is input, it is played back at 96 kHz sampling frequencies. • OFF Even when a DTS 96/24 signal is input, it is played back at 48 kHz sampling frequencies. Note This parameter is valid only in the A.F.D. mode (page 33). In other sound fields, this parameter is always set to "OFF". x SB DECODING (Surround back decoding mode) You can use the CUSTOMIZE menu to set the surround back decoding mode. To apply the stored equalizer

Rotate MAIN MENU to select “EQUALIZER”
