Spark Arresting Screen in Muffler 145BA043 KN 3 4 2 11 6 5 145BA044 KN 145BA020 K If engine is down on power, check the spark arresting screen in the muffler: • Allow muffler to cool down. 046 Magnum only: ••• Take out the screws (1). Remove the cover plate (2). Remove the spark arresting screen (3). • Clean spark arresting screen if necessary. If screen is damaged or coked up, fit a new one. • Refit the spark arresting screen in the reverse sequence. 046 Magnum and other mufflers with spark arresting screen: Take out the four screws. •• Remove the muffler upper casing (4). Bend back the retaining tabs (5). •• Pull out the spark arresting screen (6). • Clean spark arresting screen if necessary. If screen is damaged or coked up, fit a new one. • Refit the spark arresting screen in the reverse sequence. 40 046
