Make sure your electrical cord set is in good condition. When using an extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the current your product will draw. An undersized extension cord may cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating. The table below shows the correct size (AWG) to use for your machine (Cord types SJW or SJTW) depending on cord length and nameplate ampere rating. If in doubt, use the next heavier gauge. The smaller the gauge number, the heavier the cord. Cord length (ft) 25 50 100 150 Wire gauge (AWG) 18 16 16 14 Do not use an extension cord that exceeds 150 ft. in length. Extension Cords
Use an extension cord specifically
approved for outdoor applications. Make
sure your electrical cord set is in good
condition. When using an extension
cord, be sure to use one heavy enough
to carry the current your product will
draw. An undersized extension cord
may cause a drop in line voltage
resulting in loss of power and
overheating. The table below shows the
correct size (AWG) to use for your

Do not use an extension cord that
exceeds 150 ft. in length.
