N Press the boot (2) firmly onto the spark plug. N Fit the cover (1) and screw it down firmly. English 000BA054 KN Storing the Machine For periods of about 30 days or longer N Drain and clean the fuel tank in a well-ventilated area. N Dispose of fuel properly in accordance with local environmental requirements. N If a manual fuel pump is fitted: Press the manual fuel pump at least 5 times. N Start the engine and run it at idling speed until it stops. N Remove saw chain and guide bar; clean and spray with protective oil N Thoroughly clean the machine - pay special attention to the cylinder fins and air filter N When using biological chain oil (e.g. STIHL BioPlus), fill the lubricant oil tank N Store the machine in a dry and secure location Keep out of the reach of children and other unauthorized persons Checking and Replacing the Chain Sprocket N Remove chain sprocket cover, saw chain and guide bar Replace the chain sprocket a - replace after using two saw chains or sooner - if the wear marks (a) are deeper than 0.02 in (0.5 mm) since this would reduce the service life of the saw chain. Use a gauge (special accessory) to check the depth of the wear marks Using two saw chains in alternation helps preserve the chain sprocket. STIHL recommends the use of original STIHL chain sprockets.
