PRECAUTIONS SUPPLIED ACCESSORIES Remote Control Unit Batteries ("AA", "R6" or SUM-3) * Always grasp AC plug when you disconnect AC line from your home outlet. DISC HANDLING * Use discs which have mark on them as shown. (Optical audio digital discs.) LOCATION For safe operation and satisfactory performance of your CD player, keep followings in mind when selecting a place for its installation: * Shield it from direct sunlight and keep it way from sources of intense heat. * Avoid dusty or humid places. * Install it in a well ventilated place. * Avoid locations subject to strong vibration. * Install it in a horizontal position. * Keep unit away from tuners and TV sets. Installation of unit in close proximity to such equipment may cause noise or interference picture. In such a case, turn off power. * Do not operate unit immediately after it has been moved from a cold place to a warm place. Moisture condensation may prohibit proper operation. In such case, allow unit to stand for about one hour before use. * When holding discs, do not touch their signal surfaces. Hold by edges, or by one edge and center hole. O * Do not affix gummed labels or tape to label surfaces. Also, do not scratch or damage label. * Disc rotate at high speed inside player. Do not use damaged (cracked or warped) discs.
