VERTICAL HOLD CONTROL When the picture begins to vibrate vertically, stabilize the picture by pressing the TRACKING A or V button in the Still mode. NOTES: • If there are video noise lines on the screen, reposition or reduce them. Refer to "NOISE CANCEL". • When the picture is distorted or rolling vertically, ad- just vertical hold control on your TV. • Some newer TV's do not have a user adjustable ver- tical hold control. TRACKING ADJUSTMENT • Tracking adjustment will be set automatically (Digi- tal Auto Tracking function) when you start playback. • When playing pre-recorded tapes or tapes recorded on units other than your own, noise lines (black and white streaks) may appear on the playback picture. If this occurs, you can adjust the tracking control manually by pressing the TRACKING A or V button on the remote control until the streaks disappear. To return to the Digital Auto Tracking function, stop the tape once and start playback again. • To set center position, stop playback once and begin playback again. AUTO REWIND When the end of a tape is reached during playback or fast-forward, the tape will automatically rewind to the beginning. After that, the VCP will eject the tape and turn itself to off. NOTE: This function is operative when Repeat Play is set to off. - 13 - EN 7C04
