Bluetooth® wireless technology (continued) Playback from a Bluetooth device oo Pair this unit the first time you use it and when you want to connect it with a different Bluetooth device for the first time (page 23). oo When pairing or connecting with another Bluetooth device, they should be within a few meters of each other. If they are too far apart, pairing and connection afterwards might become impossible. 1 Turn the SOURCE knob to select Bluetooth. Bluetooth SELECT DEVICE? oo You can also use the Bluetooth button on the remote control. 2 Enable Bluetooth transmission on the other Bluetooth device. 4 Press the ENTER button to connect. oo If there are multiple paired devices, turn the SOURCE knob to show other devices. When the name of the device that you want to connect is shown, press the ENTER button. After connection, the display will show the input source. Display example Device name 56 Player_1 AAC 44k - .5 Codec and sampling frequency oo The first 8 characters of the device name are shown. oo If characters other than English letters and numbers are included in the device name, it will not be shown properly. ATTENTION Regardless of the connection status of this unit and the other Bluetooth device, if the input source is not shown, restart both this unit and the other device and then connect them again. 3 When "SELECT DEVICE?" appears, press the ENTER button to show Bluetooth devices that have already been paired. The bottom line of the display shows the name of the last connected device. ATTENTION Depending on the source device, you might also need to conduct connection operations on it. If you are unable to connect it successfully, refer to the operation manual of the source device. Display example Bluetooth > Player_1 Name of last connected device oo Turn the SOURCE knob to change the device name shown. oo The unit can remember a maximum of eight device pairings. oo If no paired device is available, the display will appear as follows. Bluetooth NO PAIRED DEVICE Press and hold the ENTER button to enter pairing mode (page 23). 5 Start playback on the other Bluetooth device. oo Confirm that the volume is turned up on the other Bluetooth device. If you do not turn up the volume on the playback device, no sound might be output from this unit. NOTE Press and hold the MENU button to clear a paired device. 24

Pair this unit the first time you use it and when you want to con-

Turn the SOURCE knob to select Bluetooth.

ENTER button to show Bluetooth devices that
have already been paired.

ATTENTION
Depending on the source device, you might also need to con-
duct connection operations on it°
If you are unable to connect it successfully, refer to the opera-
tion manual of the source device°
