TRENDnet User's Guide TEW-740APBO / TEW-740APBO2K Router Mode Router mode allows you to use the access point as a NAT router/gateway. LAN1 (PoE) operates as the wired WAN Internet interface and LAN2 and wireless interfaces operates as the LAN local interface with NAT and DHCP Server functions. CAP (Control AP) Mode CAP mode functions in AP mode but in addition, this mode allows you to manage, monitor, and control other APs using the same firmware/software. You can configure multiple settings for multiple APs at the same time, push out batch firmware upgrades from one convenient GUI interface. The CAP Mode AP can discover and manage any CAP mode compatible APs on any of interfaces including WDS bridged links.
