The Powerboost Function Powerboost function limitations Use this function to heat up the contents of the pan faster than by using the heat setting j. This function allows you to increase the maximum power level of the element in use. All elements have this function. The Powerboost function will always be available when the other elements of the same group are not switched on. (See picture) For example, if you want to activate this function in zone 2, number 1 must be switched off, and vice versa. If this element is not off, the letter n and heat setting j will flash on the element indicator; then it will return to the heat setting j without activating the function. The same applies to elements 3 and 4. Group 1 How to activate it Switching off this function Group 2 Follow the steps below: 1. Select an element. 2. Press the POWER BOOST symbol. The letter n will appear in the indicator. You have now activated the function Follow the steps below: 1. Select an element. 2. Press the POWER BOOST symbol. The letter n will no longer be displayed and the element will return to heat setting j. The Powerboost function has been deactivated. NOTICE: In certain circumstances, the Powerboost function may be deactivated automatically to protect the internal electronic components of the cooktop. 20
