Home Connect® This appliance is Wi-Fi-capable and can be remotely controlled using a mobile device. If the appliance is not connected to the home network, the appliance functions in the same way as an oven with no network connection and can still be operated via the display. The availability of the Home Connect function depends on the availability of Home Connect services in your country. Home Connect services are not available in every country. You can find more information on this at www.home-connect.com. Notes ▯ Ensure that you follow the safety instructions in this instruction manual and that you comply with these even when you are away from home and are operating the appliance via the Home Connect app. You must also follow the instructions in the Home Connect app. ▯ Operating the appliance directly from the appliance always has priority. During this time, it is not possible to operate the appliance using the Home Connect app. ▯ We are constantly working to improve the Home Connect app, which may lead to differences in the setup steps. Please rely on the instructions in the latest version of the Home Connect app to guide you through the setup process. Setting Up To implement settings via Home Connect, you must have installed and set up the Home Connect app on your mobile device. Follow the steps specified by the app to implement the settings. The app must be open in order to perform the setup process. Connecting Your Oven to Home Connect Connecting your oven to Home Connect is a three step process: 1. Install the Home Connect app. 2. Connect your oven to the Wi-Fi network. 3. Connect your oven to the app. You will need a smartphone or tablet equipped with the latest operating system (Apple or Android), a secure WiFi network where the appliance is located and the Home Connect app. Follow instructions below or other supplied Home Connect documents for set up. 1. Install the Home Connect app. On your smartphone or tablet, go to the App Store (Apple devices) or Google Play Store (Android devices). Download "Home Connect (America)" app published by BSH Home Appliances and install. Start the app and create a Home Connect account. 2. Connect your oven to the Wi-Fi network. 2. Slide the left fork into the skewer and tighten the screw.	23
3. Slide meat or poultry for roasting onto the skewer and tighten the screw.	23
4. Slide the right fork onto the skewer and tighten the screw.	23
5. Check the balance of the food on the skewer by rolling the skewer in the palms of your hands. Food that is not evenly balanced on the skewer will not cook evenly.	23
6. Place the rotisserie skewer onto the rack.	23
7. Place the skewer rack into the oven and insert the drive shaft into the opening on the back oven wall.	23
8. If necessary, turn the rotisserie skewer slightly so that the drive shaft fits properly into the opening.	23
9. Insert flat rack on position 1 and insert broil pan to catch drippings.	24
Trussing Poultry for the Rotisserie	24
1. Slip one of the forks on the skewer with the tines pointing to the tip of the skewer. Loosely tighten the screw to keep it from slipping.	24
2. Insert the skewer through the poultry securing with the fork.	24
3. Cut 24\	24
4. Wrap each end of the string around each of the wings; catch each wing tip as the string is brought tightly together at the top and knotted. Do not cut off the extra string.	24
5. Cut another 24\	24
6. Pull legs forward; cross them on top of the skewer, bring string around and tie a knot.	24
7. Connect the string holding the legs to the string holding the wings; then knot. Add the other fork and push tines into the drumsticks to secure.	24
8. Check the balance by rolling the skewer in your palms. Poultry should not rotate or be loose in any way. If so, redo the trussing. The poultry will not cook evenly if it is not balanced on the skewer.	24

1. Turn off power to the oven at the main power supply (fuse or breaker box).	35
2. Remove three screws from oven cavity holding the rack in place.	35
3. Remove oven rack to provide access to the bulb housing.	35
4. Remove screw from top of bulb housing.	35
5. Insert the tip of a narrow flat blade screwdriver between the metal clips at about a 40° angle. The screwdriver blade must be able to pass between the metal clips to reach the inner catch.	36
6. Push the screwdriver blade inward to disengage the catch from the slot in the bulb housing. Gently pry the lens off by moving the screwdriver handle away from the oven wall.	36
7. Support the glass lens cover to prevent it from falling.The lens should detach easily. Do not attempt to force it.	36
8. Pull the halogen bulb from its socket.	36
9. Replace the halogen bulb. Grasp the new bulb with a clean, dry cloth. Align the bulb prongs with the socket holes and press into place.	36

10. Put the glass cover back on by inserting it into the mounting clip and pressing the end nearest you into the housing until it locks into place. Insert screw through glass cover and tighten.	36

Connecting your oven to Home Connect is a three step

process:

Install the Home Connect app.

Connect your oven to the Wi-Fi network.

Connect your oven to the app.

You will need a smartphone or tablet equipped with the

latest operating system (Apple or Android), a secure Wi-

Fi network where the appliance is located and the Home

Connect app.

Follow instructions below or other supplied Home

Connect documents for set up.

Install the Home Connect app.

On your smartphone or tablet, go to the App Store

(Apple devices) or Google Play Store (Android

devices). Download “Home Connect (America)” app

published by BSH Home Appliances and install.

Start the app and create a Home Connect account.

Connect your oven to the Wi-Fi network.

Manual Registration in the Home Network

Note:

You can start the HomeConnect Assistant during

initial start-up or using the menu.

Touch the SETTINGS touch button.

Swipe to the left or right to select "HomeConnect".

Touch “Start assistant”.

Touch “Start connecting”.
