Discharge Chute-the opening in the mower cutting chamber that allows the cut grass to be discharged from the mower. Engine RPM (revolutions per minute)-a measurement of the speed the engine is running. Floating deck-a mower that is free to follow the terrain separately from the tractor through the use of gage wheels. This term is often applied to decks that are actually semi-floating. This term is used to describe mowers that are designed specifically to mulch and convertible mowers that mulch. Peak torque-the speed at which an engine applies the maximum twisting force to the crankshaft.
