Using the Auto off feature With the Auto off feature On, the TV will automatically turn itself off after approximately 15 minutes if it is tuned to a vacant channel or a station that completes its broadcast for the day. This feature does not work in the blue screen off mode. To activate the Auto off: 1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the Special menu appears. 2. Press z, and then press y or z to highlight Auto off. 3. Press •, and then press y or z to Select On. Language Caption/Text Captions Panel lock V-Chip Auto off Special On Off ENTER EXIT MENU To deactivate the Auto off: Select Off in step 3 above. Displaying on-screen information Press RECALL to display the following information on-screen: • Channel number or Video mode selected • Stereo or SAP audio status MUTE POWER TV/VIDEO MTS RECALL 123 456 789 CH RTN 0 100/ CH VOL ENTER VOL CH EXIT MENU CC SOUND PICTURE SLEEP FAV. CH TV 6 Stereo RECALL yzx • MENU Understanding the last mode memory feature If the power is cut off while you are viewing the TV, the Last Mode Memory feature turns on the TV automatically when the power is resupplied. If the power is going to be off for a long time and you are going to be away from your TV, unplug the power cord to prevent the TV from turning on in your absence. Using the TV's Features 30
