When the TV is on, the green LED indicator on the TV front will be illuminated. 2 PIC SIZE cycles through the picture sizes: Full. TheaterWide 1/2/3, 4:3, Native, Normal, and Dot by Dot. 3 PIC MODE selects the picture mode. 4 INPUT selects the video input source. 5 SLEEP accesses the sleep timer. 6 FREEZE freezes the picture. Press again to restore the moving picture. N 7 Channel Numbers (0-9, -/100) directly tune channels. The button is used to tune digital channels or to edit the Favorites List . 8 FAV BROWSER accesses the Favorites List in the Channel Browsermi 9 RECALL displays TV status information. 10 CH AT cycles through programmed channels when no menu is on- screen. 11 C.CAPTION accesses the closed caption. 12 MUTE reduces or turns off the sound. 13 VOL + - adjusts the volume level. 14 INFO displays TV status information as well as program details, when available. 15 EXIT closes on-screen menus. 16 ENTER activates highlighted items in the main menu system. 17 CH RTN returns to the last viewed channel or source. 18 Arrow buttons (AV1W) When a menu is on-screen, these buttons select or adjust programming menus. (Also see 4 / ► .) 19 4 / IP. While watching TV, these buttons open the Channel Browser and tune to the previous/next channel in the channel history. 20 MENU accesses the main TV menu system. The following key functions allow you to control Toshiba REGZALINK compatible devices via HDMI connection. 21 STOP Stops the tape or DVD. 22 PLAY Begins playback of a tape or DVD. 23 SKIP NH Skips forward to locate later DVD chapters. 24 FF Fast-forwards the tape or DVD. (Press during play mode to view the picture moving rapidly forward.) 25 EJECT Eject the tape or DVD. 26 PAUSE Press during play or record mode to pause the picture; press again to restart. 27 SKIP 1414 Skips back to beginning of current DVD chapter, or locates previous chapters. 28 REW Rewinds/reverses the tape or DVD. (Press during play mode to view the picture moving rapidly backward.) Initial Setup When you first turn on or reset the TV, the Initial Setup window will appear. 1 In the Menu Language field, press 44 or►to select your preferred language. 2 Press .1 or 0. to select Time Zone Setup and set your desired time zone with 4 or II. and press el. 3 Next, the Location setting window will appear. For normal home use, press or ► to select Home and press 4 Next, ANT/CABLE In setup window will appear. Press 41 or ► to select the input source (Cable or Antenna) for the ANT/CABLE input on the TV. 5 If you select Antenna, the Channel Tuning Mode setup window will appear. To tune only digital channels, select Digital. To tune digital channels preferentially over analog when entering channel number directly, select Auto. For normal tuning, select Standard. Press @ to continue to Auto Tuning. 6 Press @ to select Start Scan and continue with the Auto Tuning. You can stop the Initial Setup with E(.C)111 However if you do not finish the entire Initial Setup process, by pressing vow@ until step 5 above, the Initial Setup window will appear every time you turn on the TV. Selecting the menu language You can choose from three different languages (English, French, and Spanish) for the on-screen display of menus and messages. To select the menu language: 1 Press mr and open the Preferences menu, highlight Menu Language. 2 Press 41 or ► to select your preferred menu language. 3 Press O to close the Preferences menu.
