TOSHIBA DX730/DX735/Qosmio DX730 Series Memory media slot This slot lets you insert an SD™/SDHC™/ SDXC™ memory card, miniSD™/microSD™ Card, Memory Stick™ (PRO™) and MultiMediaCard™. Refer to the Optional devices section in Chapter 3, Operating Basics for more information. Headphone jack A 3.5 mm mini headphone jack enables connection of stereo headphones. Microphone jack A 3.5 mm mini microphone jack enables connection of a three-conductor mini jack for stereo microphone input. The microphone jack has Sleep and Music function. The integrated sound system provides support for the computer's internal speakers and microphone, as well as allowing an external microphone and headphones to be connected via the appropriate jacks. Universal Serial Bus (USB 3.0) ports Two Universal Serial Bus ports, which comply to the USB 3.0 standard, are provided on the left side of the computer. The USB 3.0 port is compliant with USB 3.0 standard and backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices. The port with the icon has Sleep and Charge function. Keep foreign metal objects, such as screws, staples and paper clips, out of the USB port. Foreign metal objects can create a short circuit, which can cause damage and fire, possibly resulting in serious injury. Please note that it is not possible to confirm the operation of all functions of all USB devices that are available.
