4-2. TONE-PULSE SELECTION Set the TONE/PULSE switch located rear of the base unit for the type of service you have (tone or pulse). If you are not sure which type of service you have, do this simple test. ▪ Set TONE/PULSE switch to TONE position. OO Press the TALK button on the handset and listen for a dial tone.
