24 Record Mode Movie recording NOTE Scene: B/W / Classic / Negative effect can be previewed immediately without indicator on the LCD touch screen. Movie recording In Movie Record mode (The Movie Record indicator light ( ) is lit), press the OK button to start recording. When a movie is being recorded, a time indicator will display on the LCD touch screen. To stop recording, press the OK button again. Dual Record is an optional function that allows you to take a still picture while recording a movie. To use Dual Record, press the Mode button ( ) to capture a still image. The Dual Record icon ( ) appears on the LCD touch screen. Press the Playback button to view a recorded movie. The four resolution settings available are: Video Quality FHD (1080p/30fps) HD (720p/30fps) WVGA 60 VGA (4:3) NOTE The still image resolution captured during the recording of a movie is the same as the video resolution. Using the pre-record function The Pre-record function ensures that you will not miss any critical recording opportunities, as movies are recorded 3 seconds before the OK button is pressed. To use the Pre-record function: 1 Press the Pre-record button ( ) while in Record mode. The Pre-record icon( ) appears on the LCD touch screen. 2 Aim the camcorder at the subject. 3 Press the OK button to start recording. (The camcorder records 3 seconds before you actually press the OK button.) To use the function again, repeat steps 1-3 above.
