Quick Tour 10 Quick Tour This section identifies the various components of your port replicator. Front view The following image illustrates the front of the Toshiba Hi-Speed Port Replicator III. For a description of each component, please refer to the accompanying table. Eject button Docked light (Green) Power button Sensor pin Hooks Computer connector Hooks Port Replicator lock switch Security lock slot (Sample Illustration) the front of the Toshiba Hi-Speed Port Replicator III Component Power button Computer connector Docked light Eject button Description Turns the docked computer on. Note: Pressing the power button has no effect if a computer is not connected to the port replicator. Connects to the computer's expansion port. Glows green during normal operation. Turns off when the computer completes its disconnect sequence. When the Docked light turns off, it is safe to disconnect the computer. The Docked light will also be off when the computer is off Begins the computer's disconnect sequence. Note: Once the Eject button is pressed and the Docked light turns off, the computer cannot communicate with external devices connected to the port replicator. Undock and re-dock the computer to reestablish communication.

Description
Power button
Turns the docked computer on. Note: Pressing
the power button has no effect if a computer is
not connected to the port replicator.
Computer
connector
Connects to the computer's expansion port.
Docked light
Glows green during normal operation. Turns off
when the computer completes its disconnect
sequence. When the Docked light turns off, it is
safe to disconnect the computer. The Docked
light will also be off when the computer is off
Eject button
Begins the computer’s disconnect sequence.
Note: Once the Eject button is pressed and the
Docked light turns off, the computer cannot
communicate with external devices connected
to the port replicator. Undock and re-dock the
computer to reestablish communication.
