TV operation Setting the V-Chip An age limitation can be set to forbid children to see and hear violent scenes or pictures for adults, etc. The TV/DVD corresponds to "TV RATING" and "MOVIE RATING". To use the V-Chip function, you must register a password. Notes: • If you forget the password, you cannot set the V-Chip. • To avoid forgetting the password, write it down and keep in the safe place. 0-9 MENU CANCEL /// ENTER To register password To change password 1 Press MENU, then press or to select option. 1 In the V-CHIP menu, press or to select "CHANGE PASSWORD", then press . V-CHIP SET NEW PASSWORD : - - - - / / / / MENU 2 Press or to select "PASSWORD". V-CHIP SET NEW PASSWORD : - - - - 0-9/ENTER/CANCEL/MENU 3 Enter the password (4 digits) using Number buttons (0-9), then press ENTER. • If you input a wrong number, press CANCEL. V-CHIP V-CHIP SET CHANGE PASSWORD OFF / / / MENU 2 Enter the new password using Number buttons (0-9), then press ENTER. CHANGE PASSWORD NEW PASSWORD : - - - - 0-9/ENTER/CANCEL/MENU 3 Enter the same password again using Number buttons (0-9) for safety, then press ENTER. V-CHIP SET NEW PASSWORD : 0-9/ENTER/CANCEL/MENU " " appears instead of the number. 4 Enter the same password again for the safety, then press ENTER. Now the password was registered and V-Chip setting menu will appear on the display.
