Use the instructions in the appropriate section to enter or edit a setting. System-Level Settings These settings apply to the entire system. Editing the System Name Menu Program SysteM E Select the system E Edit Name E Follow these steps to enter/edit the system name. 1. Rotate the scroll control to select the first letter. 2. Press and hold down Func then rotate the scroll control once to select the next letter. 3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 until you have entered the system name. Then press E or press down on the scroll control to accept the setting. Hints: • Each system name can be up to 16 characters. Abbreviate as necessary to fit. • The default system names include C (conventional) or R (race) in the 16th position to indicate the system type: • Press twice to delete the current character. • Press three times to clear the entire alpha tag. 2. Program the system into your scanner according to the plan you prepared in Step 1.	46
Quickly Programming Racing Systems	47
1. While scanning, press 0. Then rotate the scroll control to select New Race, then press E.	47
2. Enter the name of the race, then press E.	47
3. Enter the first car number (up to 3 digits), then press E.	47
4. Enter the first driver name (up to 12 characters), then press E.	47

12. If you have another frequency to enter for this driver, press E then repeat from Step 5. Otherwise, press No	48

14. When you finish, press Scan to begin scanning the race	48
