HINT What is focus lock? i When the shutter button is pressed halfway, the camera focuses on the subject, and as long as the shutter button is kept pressed halfway, the focus is fixed (locked) at the same distance. This is called "focus lock". After focusing on the subject, you can then reorient the camera while keeping the shutter button pressed halfway to compose the picture you like. When the focus mode (page 58) is set to the 9-point focus mode B... i A target mark & on the monitor shows the area the camera is focusing on. i The camera automatically determines the correct focus by measuring from 9 different focus points within the shooting area. What is focus lock?

When the shutter button is pressed halfway, the camera focuses on the subject, and
as long as the shutter button is kept pressed halfway, the focus is fixed (locked) at
