EasyTalk USB Tools Firmware Updates The EasyUSB Mixer/Amp and EasyMic MicPOD devices can be upgraded in the field with the use of the Vaddio Loader software application. The processes for firmware updates are as follows: Step 1: If you are uncertain about updating or upgrading the equipment, please contact Vaddio Technical Support first. There is a possibility that any device can be turned into a brick, so give Tech Support a call first to get the dos and don'ts of updating. For EasyUSB Mixer/Amp: Set Dip Switch 8 on the back of the Mixer/Amp to high. Power cycle the Mixer/Amp. Connect to the RS-232 port on the Mixer/Amp. Launch the Vaddio Loader application on the PC and set the COM port to the associated PC connection. Select the Mixer/Amp in the drop down list at the top of the page. Select the load file from your local or network folders. Press the Start button on the loader. This will begin the firmware update transfer to the unit. A progress bar will indicate when the transfer is complete. Never interrupt a transfer, even if it looks like it isn't doing anything. Interrupting a transfer can brick the unit. For EasyMic MicPODs: The EasyMic MicPOD or Ceiling MicPOD is updated through the Mixer/Amp. Only one EasyMic can be connected to the Mixer Amp during the upgrade process. The Mixer/Amp must have DIP Switch 8 in the high position for the firmware update processes. The RS-232 and COM port selection on the PC as described above is duplicated for the EasyMic process. Select either the EasyMic (Table) or EasyMic (Ceiling) from the drop down list at the top of the page. Browse to the desired firmware image to update the EasyMic with. The files will end with an .ldr extension. Press the start button to begin the image transfer to the device. A progress bar will indicate status during the update process. Firmware Updates
The EasyUSB Mixer/Amp and EasyMic MicPOD devices can be upgraded in the field with the use of the Vaddio
