Configuring Client Settings Configuring Service Access Settings 3.5.5 Configuring Advanced RDP Connection Settings The table below provides a description of each setting item for RDP connections. Please refer to this table to configure advanced settings and customize your SC-T45 desktop shortcuts for service access. General Sub-tab Server Settings Item Session Name Sever Address Connection Quality Login Settings Item Username Password Domain Common Settings Item Autostart When Startup On Application Exit Description Type in the name for Remote Desktop sessions. Type in the IP address of the server/virtual machine where to deliver a Remote Desktop session. Select the setting that best describes the quality of your network connection. Three options are available: Very Fast (LAN), Fast (Broadband), and Slow (Modem). Description Type in the user/account name used for authentication. Type in the password of the user account used for authentication. Type in the domain of the server. NOTE: Leave this field blank if the server doesn't belong to any domain. Description Select whether to open a Remote Desktop session automatically or not when the client is started up. Select what to do when a Remote Desktop session is ended. Four options are available: Do Nothing, Restart Application, Reboot, and Shutdown. Option Do Nothing Restart Application Reboot Shutdown Description Returns to the Windows Embedded desktop. Opens a Remote Desktop session again. Restarts your thin client. Turns off your thin client. 38

Session Name
Type in the name for Remote Desktop sessions.
Sever Address
Type in the IP address of the server/virtual machine where to deliver a Remote Desktop
session.
Connection Quality
Select the setting that best describes the quality of your network connection. Three options
are available:
Very Fast (LAN)

Login Settings
Item

Username
Type in the user/account name used for authentication.
Password
Type in the password of the user account used for authentication.
Domain
Type in the domain of the server.
NOTE:

Common Settings

Select whether to open a Remote Desktop session automatically or not when the client is
started up.
On Application Exit
Select what to do when a Remote Desktop session is ended. Four options are available:
